From Tim Cuprisin's column in today's Milwaukee Journal Sentinel:
TV One, available on digital cable and satellite, has nightly Democratic convention coverage from 7 to 10 p.m. But the channel, which targets African-American viewers, won't be broadcasting from the Republican convention.
So, as far as TV One is concerned blacks are irretrievably in the pocket of the Democrats. Taking it even further, the Democrats pretty much don't have to worry or even do anything (and they haven't) to support or hold blacks to their party. Perhaps that is why the social conditions for blacks haven't changed in over 40 years. Perhaps if TV One were to show the Republican convention the blacks in the country would see that they actually have an alternative.
To me it looks like just another means to keep blacks "in their place" and voting Democrat without much thinking.
