They must be, because it is the only way to explain how the Dems figured that a "wind-fall profits tax" on the oil companies would be a good way to lower gas prices--or even a good policy.
If anyone lived through the depressing Carter years of long lines at the pump they would have fled from a wind fall profits tax with all alacrity. What is even more amazing is that 51 Senators thought that it was a good idea. This only proves that we have an amazing collection of egotistical boobs in the Senate.
As an aside, someone claiming to be Herb Kohl voted in his name. Of course, it was cast as it was directed to be cast by the Democrats. There are no reports of anyone actually SEEING Kohl voting. Just that the vote mysteriously materialized. Hm-m-m-m-m-m. The mystery continues.
